In brand new tanks you don't need to do anything. They're clean. Use The Geo Method every half dozen dumps (more or less) and that will maintain them. Don't sweat it - it's easy - you'll see. Thanks for writing.

I have read your Geo Method with great interest. Common sense to me says this will work. I hate the Blue Stuff smell! Being new RV owners - we pick up our unit this week - what would you recommend for a new tank system. My "logic" tells me to use the method on the new tanks in some way - maybe fill black and gray tanks part way with water, apply the softener and detergent before use.
